Tupac Amaru Shakur (2Pac) was born Lesane Parish Crooks on June 16, 1971, in New York City’s Harlem neighbourhood. One of the top-selling artists of all time, rapper and actor Tupac Shakur has become an icon symbolizing noble struggle. Tupac died in Las Vegas on September 13, 1996, from gunshot wounds inflicted six days prior. He was 25. Decades after his 1996 murder, artist and actor Tupac Shakur remains one of the top-selling and most influential rappers of all time.
